We were
transported last night to mid 20th Century Paris with the musical
stylings of Paris Moon.
Café Rouge
was the perfect venue for this evening of French chanson, including Padam Padam, Vie en Rose and Plaisir d’Amour.
The venue was packed with people, both those there to enjoy a meal and those
who came for the music, and many who stayed for both.
Paris Moon
comprises Jackie Doe (accordion) and
Keith Allen (guitar) play their own interpretation of Musette (French
Cafe Music), with Gillie Tunley on vocals.
Their repertoire of waltzes, tangos, polkas and paso-dobles along with
popular songs of stars such as Edith Piaf is evocative of a by-gone era yet
captures the timeless charm and romance of Paris.
Please
enjoy the below video and watch out for the Café Rouge staff singing along.
Tonight
there has been a venue change due to the forecast very heavy rain.
Many thanks
to Clifton Ingram for agreeing to host us however tonight we will be in the Bradbury
Centre. So if you were thinking twice due to the rain, don’t worry we are
inside tonight.
