For the
third day of Wokingham’s Living Advent Calendar my true love sent to
me…Cloudglider with a Cheeky Christmas Jukebox.
Yes it’s
Cloudglider for a second night, but a different trio of solo singers with an
entirely different set of songs. Cloudglider really are a Wokingham staple, so
many of the singers are local and they are all trained to sing as soloists by
the talented Elisa Ghoebriel. With such a range of voices and talents in the
local community it would have been a shame to give you just three of them on
one night.
Tim
Robinson, Abigail Macedo and Graham Swannell performed a medley of songs
including the traditional White Christmas, originally sung by Bing Crosby, the
melodic Last Christmas by WHAM! But it was Tim Robinsons rendition of Patricia
the Stripper (originally by Chris De Burgh) that put the Cheeky in the Cheeky
Christmas Jukebox!
A family on
their first outing to the Living Advent Calendar commented “What a lovely way
to start Christmas” amid their dancing children.
It was also
Abigail’s first outdoor performance and her first performance on a microphone and I
think I can speak for all there that she did a fantastic job.

to all at Wokingham Décor for opening their doors to us and providing a venue
for the performance.

Cloudglider
are a group of solo singers who train with Elisa Ghoebriel and then take their
new found skills to perform in the community to raise money for various
