On 13th December we were treated to a glorious
performance by the Choir of All Saints. In particular six of the senior trebles
performing a number of choral works including “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”, “I know that my Redeemer Liveth” from Handel’s Messiah and
a piece from Vivaldi’s Gloria.
The choir of All Saints, Wokingham, is one of the finest in
the region. In addition to its regular
duties at the church on Sundays and at important civic and church events, it
sings at major cathedrals across the country and churches all over
Berkshire.
Of course our hosts for the evening was the church itself,
the best place to experience this kind of music.
