For the second performance in the Wokingham Living Advent
Calendar we slowed it down a tad with a chilled out acoustic performance by
Ethan Owain, a 2 piece acoustic group on guitar and cajon (a Peruvian percussion
instrument).
Ethan and Ellis who make up Ethan Owain performed a set of
contemporary music, featuring covers of the recently released “Blame it on Me”
by George Ezra, “Scare Away the Dark” by Passenger and “Pompeii” by Bastille.
Also performing a song of their own composition and a cover of the seasonal “Let
it Snow”.
TG Art Gallery were fantastic hosts with mince pies and
mulled wine keeping an audience of around 40 -50 refreshed.
Tonight join us in The Market Place for the annual Dressing
of the Christmas Tree, where local school children will present handmade
decorations to the Mayor, Cllr Martin Bishop. Hot drinks are being provided by
local charity Just Around the Corner and the mince pies and gingerbread men are
free (provided by Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose). Wrap up warm, this event lasts about an hour.
