On the 21st night of the Wokingham Living Advent
Calendar we had an amusing medley of song and comedy. Woodley Theatre joined us
in the Broad Street Tavern for a little “Christmas Cheer”.
In their words:
“A performance of seasonal poems, readings & skits to get us all in the festive mood! Reflecting the different sides of Christmas, our performance will make you laugh, reflect, chuckle & groan!” and it certainly delivered.

All broadly themed around Christmas in company and in the
pub there was a take-off of a quiz (more famously a skit by the fantastic Two
Ronnies), a sing-a-long to “Have Yourself a Merry little Christmas”, Christmas jokes,
some amusing reworked Christmas carols and finishing with a rendition of twelve
“days” of Christmas.
The pub was packed with all ages enjoying the performance recently
refurbished surroundings.
Tonight you will find us for our penultimate performance
outside Dollshouse Boutique on Rose Street featuring Opera at Bearwood.
