The penultimate night of the Wokingham Living Advent
Calendar saw us embracing a little light opera in front of Dollshouse Boutique.
Bearwood Redam Opera was established in 1993 and performs
concerts & grand opera at Bearwood Theatre, Wokingham. Our performers are
male & female and of all ages; we hope you enjoy our performance.
They performed a selection from some famous operas and operettas
including the Waltz scene from Eugene Onegin, the Anvil Chorus from Verdi’s Il
Trovatore and the chorus of the Hebrew slaves.
The audience obviously enjoyed the music, with some singing
along to the bits they knew and generally absorbing the music, a real change
from the other choral music we have had this year.
Tonight the final performance for 2015 is at Wokingham
Baptist Church and will be a short service of carols and a retelling of the Christmas
story.
