The menswear section of Marks and Spencer was packed last
night to see the always wonderful Thames Valley Chorus. Thames Valley Chorus is
an a Capella choir for male voices and sing in four-part, close harmony,
barbershop style. They rehearse at
Waingels College, Woodley, every Tuesday evening from 7pm. They were conducted tonight
by Liz Croft.
We heard a selection of Christmas and festive tunes
including; “Do you hear what I hear”, “Yes Sir that’s my Baby” and “White
Christmas” plus favourites like “(Is this the way to) Amarillo”.
Many thanks to Thames Valley Chorus for the music and thanks
to M&S for hosting this evening of the event.
Tonight at 6:15pm we are at the Local Barber shop just off
Broad Street for Bottletop Theatre Community’s theatrical take on this time of
year. Don’t forget performances are at 4pm Saturday and Sunday, keep an eye on
Wokingham Town Council’s social media or take a peek at the online calendar to
find out what it will be.
