9th December - Bruce Neil at Hope & Anchor

Last night we were at the Hope & Anchor on Station Rd for another fantastic Living Advent Calendar performance.

Local musician Bruce Neil performed a few of his tracks and a few covers including his famous version of Guns and Roses’ Paradise City.

Bruce Neil from Wokingham is a singer/songwriter with a folk inspired sound, producing songs with heartfelt depth and lyrics that captivate the listener, taking them on an insightful and thought-provoking journey. As a winner of BBC Introducing, resulting in air play nationally, he has recently achieved widespread public attention following the video release of his percussive folk rendition of Guns N’ Roses track Paradise City. Not only did this go viral on social media, it was endorsed by the band themselves and has achieved recognition and air play from several US radio stations.

The video is a short compilation of some of the tracks including “Caroline” and a cover of “Stand By Me” but if you wait until after the gap there is a full version of “Paradise City”.

Tonight join us at TG Art Gallery for a local poet, actor and public speaker Ben Warner.
